Governance

National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) is an independent, not-for-profit organization registered in India. It advances entrepreneurship across India through entrepreneurship education, AI-enabled platforms, business acceleration and ecosystem development.

NEN is governed by its Trustees, who provide strategic oversight and ensure that the organization operates in accordance with its Trust Deed, applicable laws and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day management is led by NEN’s Operational Leadership, which is responsible for executing the organization’s strategy and managing its operations.

NEN is responsible for its governance, partnerships, financial management, operations, program implementation, compliance and outcomes. It works with educational institutions, entrepreneurs, startups, SMEs, mentors, investors, industry and government partners across India to strengthen entrepreneurship and enterprise development.

Funding

NEN receives philanthropic funding and support from the Wadhwani Operating Foundation (WOF), the philanthropic funding organization within the Wadhwani Foundation ecosystem, to advance entrepreneurship across India.

This funding and support enables NEN to deliver charitable programs and initiatives aligned with its mission. NEN retains responsibility for its governance, financial management, operations, partnerships, program implementation, compliance and outcomes.

Through this model, NEN contributes to the broader mission of the Wadhwani Foundation of Creating Jobs. Changing Lives. while maintaining its own legal identity and governance.

Shared Intellectual Property, Content & Platforms

To support innovation, quality and consistency across the Wadhwani Foundation ecosystem, the Wadhwani Operating Foundation (WOF) develops and owns shared intellectual property, including program methodologies, curricula, digital platforms, AI technologies, software, content and other knowledge assets. These technology platforms and related intellectual property are developed through WOF’s technology ecosystem and made available to support mission-aligned programs.

NEN is licensed to use these shared intellectual property assets, without charge, in connection with the entrepreneurship programs it delivers in India as part of the philanthropic funding and support provided through the Wadhwani Foundation ecosystem.

NEN applies these shared platforms, technologies and content in the delivery of its programs and is responsible for their localization, implementation, partnerships, operations, compliance and program outcomes in India.

Brand

NEN is authorized to use the Wadhwani brand in connection with the entrepreneurship programs it delivers. The use of the brand reflects a shared mission, identity and quality standards across the Wadhwani Foundation ecosystem. It does not alter NEN’s legal identity, governance or operational responsibility.

Where appropriate, NEN’s communications and program assets may also include a “Supported by Wadhwani Foundation” attribution or logo to acknowledge philanthropic funding and support. This attribution recognizes Wadhwani Foundation as the global philanthropic brand representing the shared mission, with funding and support provided through the Wadhwani Operating Foundation (WOF) for specific programs and initiatives. It is intended solely to acknowledge philanthropic funding and support and does not imply governance, management or operational responsibility for NEN.
